MEETING SUMMARY
I. OBSERVING RUNS
A. CSO - Bad weather, got nothing
B. Keck LRIS - Success. Observed fainter DOGs F24 =0.35-0.5 mJ
C. Gemini - Daniel Stern NIRI H,K spectra of AGN selected from IRAC color-color plots
D. Subaru (narrow band ?) - Moira Prescott continues to study the Lyman Alpha blob. New observations suggests that it extends over 10-100 Mpc.
E. Keck AO imaging - Success. Observed 5 NGS DOGs, 2 from the FLS. Observed 5 LGS DOGs. Also as bonus observed 1 DOG with LGS OSIRIS great S/N
II. Alex Pope, GOODs DOGs
A. Wants to compare submm galaxies with DOGs
1) Used GOODS data which contains both
2) Deep 24 micron 80 uJ
3) Very few DOGs at 24 > 0.3 mJ so really independent set from Bootes, most GOODS DOGS are < 0.3 mJ
4) Most are Bump 2 or Bump 3 DOGs (i.e. have bump in IRAC chanel 2 or 3)
B. 12 Have IRS spectra
1) Similar z dist as Dey et al.
C. Some discussion about how most DOGs are probably composite SF + AGN
1) In GOODS 80% SF dominated
2) 20% AGN dominate
3) Fiore may have over estimated the AGN dominance. Don't see as hard x-ray as he saw.
D. 70 160 um stacking
1) SEDs more similar to 10^12 than 10^13-14
2) Similar SEDs to submm but with extra bit of AGN contribution
It was a very interesting discussion and hope we continue to have these in depth conversations.
Cheers,
Jason
