General Comment
All of the images below are generated from observations in which the telescope
was scanned without chopping the secondary mirror.
January 2003 Commissioning Run
November 2002 Commissioning Run
DR21 imaged with a raster scanning mode. The integration time was 40 minutes
in tau(225 GHz) = 0.100 at a scan rate of 20 arcsec/sec.
APM 08279+5255, a ~0.4 Jy source at z = 3.9, imaged with a Lissajous scanning
mode. The integration time was 3.2 hours in tau(225 GHz) = 0.059.
Central 15 arcminutes of the Moon imaged with a raster scanning mode. The
integration time was 20 minutes at a scan rate of 30 arcsec/sec. The image
at left shows the full intensity; a spatially smooth `background' has been
removed from the image at right (courtesy R. Arendt) to enhance the small
features (craters).
Images of planets and satellites from November 2002.
IRAS05327-0457 -- near the north end of the Orion Molecular Cloud filament
-- imaged with a raster scanning mode. The integration time was 40 minutes
in tau(225 GHz) = 0.061 at a scan rate of 20 arcsec/sec.
OMC-4 -- near the south end of the Orion Molecular Cloud filament -- imaged
with a raster scanning mode. The integration time was 40 minutes in tau(225
GHz) = 0.053 at a scan rate of 20 arcsec/sec.
